Hello friends
Hope you are all good!!
The week has flown by...right?
Wow March already .......time is just flying by!!
Have you seen the fabulous challenge that the super talented Tim Holtz has set using the Tattered floral die??
Well you need to hop over here to read all about how to enter, there's prizes too!! Woohoo!
So heres my entry using the die.....
I decided to use a large paper mache body form that had been lying around my shed for ages
to try and create my version of an Iron lady!
I have to say this is possibly the biggest piece I've worked on its 3-4ft ish !!
I just love the tattered floral flowers........
I used lots and lots of foil tape, I embossed it using a mixture of texture fades
I then painted with Rangers Adirondack Paint in black
The flowers were slightly coloured with vintaj paints
The wings were also painted using the Adirondack dabbers
I added lots of Idea-ology, along with some of my own vintage finds
The base was created using a large barley twist candle holder
the shoulders have door knockers as lapels
The arms are an old large clock key
and this one was an old tray handle!
I have to say this was so much fun to create!!
It was hard to stop as I wanted to add so much more to her!!
I hope you like her too
feel free to leave a comment as its great to know you popped by!
Have yourselves a really fabulous weekend
hugs
Kaz x
Gorgeous, Kaz!
